written by Kita, January 23, 2007 I just bought the 8525 and I'm afraid I'll drop it and break it, so I'm looking for a really nice cellphone holder to help protect it. Any suggestions written by jim woodward, January 31, 2007 I would like a software program that does the following in order to enable a true "one-hand" dialing method for in-car name selection. 1. When in the today screen, a push of the track wheel brings up a 9 digit key pad. the 9 digit key pad had the 'alphabet' codes for those respective digits. 2. At this poinnt, a 'roll' of the wheel moves the curser to the various digits. 3. One over the digit, a "press" of the wheel brings up the alphanumeric letter from the "contacts" list. Thus, when you press the digit with O,P,Q, the corresponding alphabatized names will appear. 4. Once this quick-points you to the correct area of the alphabet of your contacts, you can "scroll" to the correct name. 5. Once over the correct name, a click of the wheel enables you to open up the person and select the home, mobile, etc. number. The purpose of the program would be to enable the user to "grip" the phone ONE TIME, with finger or thumb on the wheel, quickly access the contact list, scroll to the correct name, and call without ever taking your finger off the scroll-wheel. dialing this phone while in the car can practically cause a crash, as the little selection alphabets of the standard contact screen are too small to hit. Plus, it requires holding the phone in one hand, using the other to select the contact, then regripping the phone to actually dial. What a joke. Other than this simple feaure, the phone is practically a miracle of science written by Mark Collier, July 15, 2007 I have owned an HP PDA for a number of years and there was a piece of software on it that was really useful. The software would enable you to configure the PDA to control most any electronics such as TV, DVD, VCR's and even various projectors. It had the ability for the user to name the electronics such as "living room TV", "Bedroom TV" etc. Is there anything in the works to have this available. written by dennis calloway, October 18, 2007 i love my palm and the way it works withmy laptop. however, it is getting old and i can tell. i am thinking of getting the 8525. how does it work for inputting most of my data on my laptop? is outlook good , better than palm desktop? written by Spike Hill, November 11, 2007 I enjoy using my 8525 but do not think ia am using all of the available resources.
