3G WiFi Gateway

Need an application that turns the phone into a WiFi gateway - an infrastructure node that my laptop and other devices can connect to over WiFi and then access the Internet via the phone's 3G. (Yes, I currently use both the BT and USB tethering of the 8525 but want to provide Internet access to devices that only have WiFi.)

Yes i have down loaded the programs to utilize the ptt button that i'll never use anyways but We need a program to let us(Average joe's lol) to be able to change any buttons not just the ones around the out side like the contact and calendar buttons. Unless I just don't know what the heck i'm doing please let me know thanks

I just purchased and love the device. Looking for recs on best case and whether a screen protector is neccessary. I have read some reviews on the aluminum metal case, the leather holsters, and the seido clip. Any thoughts?

As far as screen protectors, I hate the way they distort the screen. Anyone have one that does not do this and is completely clear?

How come smartphones are so much smarter than powerhouse PDA phones like the 8525? My 2125 is a breeze to use and is smart too. For some reason, none of the PDA phones with Windows can auto silence your phone when going into a meeting, yet any smartphone can switch based on all kinds of criteria. I have scoured the net looking for SIMPLE program that can see that when I have an appointment and it's marked BUSY to just go into vibrate mode by itself and come out of it when it's over. Sounds easy but I can't find something that simple. I would pay real money for it if I could find it. The only thing I've found was some huge program that had like 200 tweaks and caused my phone to go crazy and removed it. Can anyone tell me where to find this or if any programmer can build it? I'd love to work with someone to develop it, it really is a missing link.

I'm new to the WM5.0 Cingular 8525... can we use NEOCAL (previously was using on Palms and Treo650 ?? Otherwise, What is recommended !?

FYI: NeoCal not only does financial analysis, but also conversions, stats, scientific, programable and date/time calculations.

Does anyone know of a utility which would allow the 8525 to see more than a 1GB Storage Card capacity? I have a coupld of 2GB Micro SD cards, but the phone only acknowledges 1GB when they are inserted into the slot.

A program that makes the picture of the person you are calling/ is calling you show up larger on the screen than it does currently would be nice. The contact pictures are nice to have, but kind of useless when it's as small as it is when it shows up.

This is not a request but a recommendation. These devices often freeze because over time, too many things are competing for the relatively little memory they give you. A program that fixed this for me is a free download called Oxios Close Apps. I'm not sure how to add it to your list, so I thought I'd send the link in case the administrators want to do this.

Being new to Pocket PC and not getting an answer from retailer where I bought the 8525 today....Is there any way on the 8525 to run apps on the sd card?..or to at least make backups on the sd card that can be copied over to the RAM..?

I'd like to be able to stream audio from websites, like when a syndicated radio show has the "Listen Live" button. If its possible with what comes with this phone, then I can't figure it out. I've also got an FM transmitter that I used with my Dell Axim X50v that allowed me to play my MP3s through my car stereo, but that was through the headphone jack. Is there an adapter out there that adapts from the USB output on the phone to the transmitter I already have? Thanks!

Cant seam to get my phone to see the new 4gig Micro SDHC card

I have been running my SanDisk 2gig card but not have purchased a 4 gig one to replace it. however I find out its a Micro SDHC and my phone doesnt even see it. Is there a program to fix this or maybe try to partition it into 2 2 gig partitions?
